mounting disquiet over targeting of union activists grew this week as Jim O’Donovan, president of the College Lecturers’ Association, lost his appeal against dismissal by Central College of Commerce in Glasgow (see Spartacus).
Mr O’Donovan plans to take his case to an employment tribunal and strenuously denies charges of bullying and harassment and Peter Duncan, the principal, strenuously denies his dismissal had anything to do with union activity.
