* Clare Cunningham was delighted with her role in the professional theatre. Clare, a 15-year-old, took part in 11 performances of Please Stay at the Pavillion Theatre in Glasgow, working four hours a night as a dancer.
She was less delighted when she got her pay packet: for a total of 45 hours she got just Pounds 45. “I thought it was terrible after all the hard work, ” she said this week. “I’d expected a lot more.” After paying for her costume and travel, she was left with almost nothing.
