A teacher colleague recently completed a temporary contract at a school which was inspected six weeks after she arrived. The school failed its inspection and her own teaching was judged to be unsatisfactory.
She is now teaching at another school which has just passed its inspection with flying colours, and her own teaching has this time been commended to her headteacher.
Does this not prove how farcical any attempt at appraising teachers accurately during an inspection must be?
