WHILE I am delighted that the Government has finally seen sense and decided to pay all trainee teachers, it’s a real kick in the teeth for people like me who are currently doing their PGCEs.
If I had waited a year I could have pocketed pound;6,000 rather than taking on the pound;4,000 debt that I shall have by Jne. Can Mr Blunkett explain why this year’s new intake deserve six grand and I don’t?
At the very least the Government should offer to pay off the student loans of current PGCE students.
