LAST year out of the total number of 329,788 new undergraduates, 50,650 found places through clearing.

All those entitled to go through clearing will receive a clearing entry form (CEF) and number.

Students should call the appropriate institution as soon as they find a suitable course and college with vacancies. Students will be asked to quote both the UCAS and CEF numbers.

The course vacancies are listed on the UCAS website (www.ucas.ac.uk).

For further information call the UCAS helpline on 01242 227788.
