A deal struck between Microsoft and the British Educational Communications And Technology Agency (Becta) is expected to save schools pound;46 million over three years. The “memorandum of understanding” will reduce the cost to schools of purchasing Microsoft software from January 1, but will not limit their ability to buy products from other companies.
