Cliff Moon’s annual guide, Individualised Reading, is now available. It lists the titles of a large range of primary books, and in this series covers fiction, non-fiction and poetry. They are all grouped under 13 levels of interest and difficulty which, with some overlap, are correlated with national curriculum levels between W and 4. The gradations are regularly revised in consultation with ractising teachers, and are helpful in assigning titles for the most appropriate use in independent, shared and guided reading.

Individualised Reading costs pound;7.50 from Reading and Language Information Centre, University of Reading, Bulmershe Court, Earley, Reading RG6 1HY. Tel: 0118 931 8820. Fax: 0118 931 6801. Email: reading-centre@reading.ac.uk Website: www.ralic.rdg.ac.uk
