The Welsh Assembly’s education committee launched a report on special educational needs last week, calling for better collaboration between education, health and social services. The launch, at Meadowbank special school, Cardiff, was attended by Peter Black, the committee’s chairman, and two committee members. Unfortunately, the chair of the school’s governing body was unable to attend. David Melding, who is also a member of the Assembly, was busy... chairing the health and social services committee.
