A primary school rife with truancy and inexperienced teachers, could face closure following an Office for Standards in Education report which found it had among the lowest standards in the country.

Inspectors said Mostyn Garden primary school in Brixton, south-east London had some of the worst conditions of the 90 schools inspected so far. It is the fifth in the borough of Lambeth to fail an OFSTED inspection.
