Clubs to boost primary sport

A pound;1 million programme of after-school sports clubs for primary pupils was launched this week.

It has been developed by the Youth Sport Trust to help children learn skills such as throwing, catching, balance and co-ordination.

The aim is to have 800 clubs running in Britain by the end of 2006, with free places for all.
