Clydebank knees-up

The new Clydebank College, now splendidly situated on the banks of the Clyde making the name an unin-tentional double pun threw an opening party for the town last Sunday. At the knees-up were some educa-tional items, such as a keepy-up challenge, described by one wag as what the college had been doing for years as far as its SUMS were concerned. Perhaps that’s why there was a magician there as well.

As the press advert for the party reminded everyone: “The Riverside Campus is located on the former site of John Brown’s Shipyard.”

Locals will recall that the yard closed due to money troubles. Ah well.
