Schools seeking to fulfil their duty to promote community cohesion have a wide range of actions open to them, according to Manchester University academics. Their suggestions include holding a new arrivals party for Polish children and providing recreational classes where adults from different backgrounds can meet. The study also recommends that research should focus on funding demonstration projects based on the most successful efforts.
