A retired teacher is generously offering a life-time’s accumulation of music and other items to cash-strapped London schools. The collection includes materials for all ages and comprises books, sheet music, piano scores, carols and children’s oratorios, as well as anthologies of poetry and other educational items. In exchange, the donor would appreciate a gift to the Medical Foundation for Victims of Torture, which provides care, healing and counselling, and includes many children among its beneficiaries. Schools, nurseries or community projects should send a self-addressed envelope to Ms B Jester, 48 Pendlestone Road, London E17 9BH.
