College PR goes a little off course

A chum of mine went on to the website of his local further education college the other day in the hope of doing a course in Photoshop.

He thought that the ability to manipulate digital images on screen was sure to make him more employable.

He rang the college to ask for more information about the content of the course, only to be sent, by post, a printed version of the information he had already seen on the website, leaving him none the wiser.

Likely as not, he will now be taking his pound;100 course fee elsewhere.

Apparently, he would have been more than happy to pay twice that amount.

With customer relations like that, no wonder some colleges say they cannot convince adults to pay for tuition.
