The college strike: pictures from the picket line

Thousands of staff members from 200 colleges in England are on strike today in response to the Association of Colleges' recommendation that its members do not offer a pay rise to their staff for 2015-16.

Members from both the University and College Union (UCU) and Unison have been picketing since this morning, with many attending rallies in London and Manchester to lobby for a pay rise.

Those on strike have received support from political parties, fellow union members and FE staff around the UK.
