Heard the one about the minister and the rabbi? Keen observers at the recent Tapestry conference would have spotted an animated conversation between Rabbi Rafi Feuerstein, one of the keynote speakers, and the Rev Ewan Aitken, Edinburgh’s education convener and regular columnist of this parish.
We can exclusively reveal that they were not occupied by weighty theological matters, nor joint Jewish-Gentile campuses, merely the location of the Scots Church in Jerusalem and an account of Aitken’s stay in Tiberius in the early nineties.
It’s a small world - at least this one is.
