SOME survivors of a crash in the French Alps that killed three pupils in 1997 are finally to be paid compensation. They were in a coach carrying students and staff from St James’ high school, Farnorth, Bolton, that plunged down a ravine near Moutiers. A six-figure sum for those with less serious injuries has been agreed with the tour operators. The others are still waiting.
