The Royal Meteorological Society is hosting the fourth international conference on "School and popular meteorological and oceanographic education" in Edinburgh fromJuly 22-26, 1996. Up to 10 teachers can win free admission and rail expenses by submitting, by September 30, a 500-word summary with supporting material of the paper they would like to present at the conference, which should explain how they have encouraged weather studies.

If unsuccessful, authors are free to submit their summaries direct to the organising committee afterwards. Details: The Executive Secretary, Edinburgh Conference, RMS, 104 Oxford Road, Reading RG1 7LJ.
