* Forget the Dome, write the Millennium Pome, say the organisers of this children’s poetry competition open to anyone aged 16 and under. Entries of up to 30 lines are invited by Lexikon Magazine, by July 31, on any aspect of the Millennium. Themes could include: 2000 AD: what is important about date? grandparents’ memories; and what is happening to our world? Entry fee: 50p per poem or ten entries for pound;2. First prize pound;50, second prize pound;25 plus other prizes of money or books. Winning entries will be published in the magazine.
