The Association for Science Education and the Science Museum, sponsored by SmithKline Beecham, are inviting teams of students aged 11-17 to research health-related issues. The winning team will receive Pounds 2,000 plus Pounds 500 to donate to a medical charity, and Pounds 500 each will go to regional winners, a special needs category and a new post-16 category.

COMMONWEALTH YOUNG DESIGNER AWARD

Secondary schools are invited to write their own design brief within categories including: communication (print, packaging, multimedia); industry and product (consumer and electronic goods, lighting, furniture); and fashion.
