The Young Pavement Artists Competition takes place nationwide on June 7 (or earlier) in aid of children with Duchenne md, a muscle-wasting disease. Closing date for enrolment: May 2. The Electoral Commission in association with the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal College of Art is inviting students aged 16-24 to illustrate the theme “Votes are Power” using any medium. Closing date for registration is January 31 and for entries February 17. Winners will receive Apple Mac design computers and work experience at a creative agency and the winner’s design will be used in the Commission’s 2003 ad campaign. A week’s family holiday in a National Trust holiday cottage is the top prize in a drawing competition for children under eight being run by Barefoot Books and the National Trust. Barefoot character Bear is asking children to draw a picture of their home with help from Debbie Harter’s Bear at Home book and submit it by December 31.
