Clotheshow Live at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, December 2-7, will feature non-stop fashion shows, designer labels, high street brands, celebrities and live music. New this year is an educational bursary to encourage young people aged 13 to 23 to develop creativity and skills in drawing, design, garment making, pattern cutting and business. It comprises four schemes: the Clotheshow Live Can You Cut It competition for art and design foundation, BTEC or diploma students, offering an annual bursary of Pounds 5,000 for a three or four-year college or university course; a garment, textile, product or poster design competition for ages 13-17; a garment design competition for sixth formers with a pound;2,000 prize towards foundation course fees; and the existing Clotheshow Live Student Designer of the Year competition, offering a pound;2,000 prize and a work placement at a British design house.
