For the 4x4 in Schools Challenge, Denford Ltd and Land Rover invite key stage 4 students to design and build an off-road vehicle that can be driven around an obstacle course by remote control. The vehicles use electric motors to power all four wheels and must be able to climb 45-degree slopes. Each team is also required to make a 10-minute presentation to Land Rover engineers highlighting the design, technology and business aspects involved. Regional and national finals will be held.
