Complaints on the rise

Education complaints to the local government watchdog increased by almost a quarter last year, mostly due to school admissions problems. The Local Government Ombudsman’s Annual Review revealed that the overall number of complaints remained static at 18,626, but those involving education rose from 1,343 to 1,647.
