The gardens of Compton Acres in Dorset have been developed over the past 50 years to bring many kinds of horticultural styles together in one place. A new pair of education packs provides things for young visitors (key stages 1 and 2) to do during and after their visit. Activities are standard - sketching, filling in missing words, taking notes from observation. Many kinds of garden offer intriguing themes to explore - Japanese symbols of peace, Canadian totem poles, Egyptian hieroglyphics and Roman gods.
