This year’s Modern Studies Association conference takes place on November 1 at Jordanhill College, Glasgow. Notable speakers include John Curtice, professor of politics at Strathclyde University, and Alex Salmond, the former Scottish National Party leader. The range of academic speakers will be complemented by curriculum workshops and materials for classroom use.

The Modern Studies Association works to promote and develop modern studies teaching in Scotland. Members receive two mailings a year, which include a magazine and classroom materials.
