The annual conference of the National Society for Education in Art and Design will take place at Tate Modern, London SE1, June 17, and its research into practice conference at the University of Hertfordshire, July 7-8.

Future directions in design education in schools will be explored in a seminar chaired by Professor Sir Christopher Frayling at the Royal College of Art, London SW7, July 11. Organisers: NSEAD and the Design and Technology Association, supported by the DfES.

Power Drawing workshops, part of the NSEAD Artist-Teacher scheme, will explore the power of drawing “as a stimulus to perception, creative thinking, imagination, communication, problem solving and visual planning”.
