Training provider Stands for Education is running a conference for secondary teachers called “Practicalcitizenship: effective strategies, activities and ideas to deliver citizenship successfully” in London (November 7 and December 10), Leeds (November 29) and Nottingham (December 3). Topics include: co-ordinating a multi-stranded programme; lesson plans, tutorial ideas and student-centred tasks; developing a scheme of work for non-specialists; preparing effectively for inspection; reporting to parents on pupils’ progress and achievement.
