* The National Association for the Teaching of English is kicking off the millennium on January 28-30 with a conference at Swanwick Conference Centre, Alfreton, Derbyshire. It is entitled Under starter’s orders: managing the new English curriculum and themes will include: managing the first year in teaching; working with classroom assistants; and teamwork or target setting.
