In your article, “Primary music in decline”, you report on the “horrifying” findings of a TES survey.

Yet in an article in The Times on February 12, the chief inspector of schools wrote: “The position of music in primary schools is secure I For several years, inspectors have judged music to be the best taught subject in primary schools.” How can these seemingly contradictory accounts be reconciled?
