In a story on p12 of last week’s TES (GTC register’s demise creates fraud risk, top mandarin admits), we quoted the director of the workforce group at the Department for Education Dugald Sandeman as saying that the abolition of the GTC could “open the whole system up to fraud”. We are happy to make clear that Mr Sandeman did not make these comments and that the article was, in fact, quoting a member of the GTC council. We apologise for the error.
