Teachers continue to face threats to their health and safety in schools, a report by the NASUWT warned.

It found that local authorities were often failing to carry out termly inspections and called for a national forum to let unions raise workplace dangers with the Government. The NASUWT won more than pound;1.6 million compensation last year for members who suffered personal injuries including trips and falls.
