Counsellors need councils

Local authorities have been asked by the Government to help fund the Teacher Support Line, a telephone information and counselling service. They have been sent a letter from the Department for Education and Skills asking them to donate 60 pence per full-time teacher. Until now the service has been funded by the DfES. The Teacher Support Line can be reached on 08000 562 561, or 08000 855 088 for teachers in Wales.
