NOVEMBER 15AND JANUARY 24 MATHS IN ISLAMIC ART AND FUN WITH MATHS Inset courses for primary teachers at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7. The first will investigate Islamic designs based on squares, triangles, octagons and hexagons working in the galleries from tiles, ceramic containers, screens, carved wood and textiles. The second will emphasise interesting ways of using the galleries to develop mathematical skills such as counting, measuring, shapes, position, pattern and symmetry. Fee: Pounds 45 each.
