FINE words at St Thomas of Aquin’s High in the capital, which saw last week’s launch of the revamped national lunch menu, or the Scottish Executive’s reply to the Hungry for Success report.

As education and health ministers trotted off for a healthy lunch, visitors trooping out of the newly built secondary were met by groups of pupils coming back in - with crisps, fizzy drinks, Mars Bars and chips.

We can only assume a home economics lesson was looming and they were merely taking part in a scientific exercise.
