Nick Tate generalised to absurdity my position on his pursuit of a common set of values and a culture defined and promoted by the state (TES, March 13).
As an elected representative of the people and a determined local educationist I have a great interest in “a common civic domain” but see it as a mosaic, built by communities and families and based upon difference and choice.
