I spy Education Eye

A new portal aims to bring together tools and learning ideas from across the education field. Education Eye collects content from hundreds of websites, blogs and digital sources, indexing it into an easy-to-use form. The site is curated by researchers at Futurelab, an education research and development charity, to maintain quality control. Topics range from ways of teaching numeracy to using Web 2.0 technology in the classroom. For details, visit www.educationeye.org.uk.

Step up to the platform

The free conference is organised by learning platforms provider Frog. For details and to book a place, visit www.frogtrade.comconference by May 27.

App’s the way to tell a story

A storytelling game has been turned into an iPhone application. “Rory’s Story Cubes” consists of nine cubes with a different image on each face, which, when rolled, provide more than 10 million combinations as inspiration for a story. Now that the game has been adapted for the iPhone, teachers can shake it to roll the cubes, then print off pictures of the dice roll. Visit www.thecreativityhub.com.
