While I applaud the success of the schools that achieve high value-added scores from key stage 2 to 3 tests, it is important to note that two of the five highest performers in this respect take children in the age range 10-14. Surely a comparison with situations whereby the tests are taken in two different schools, and in which KS3 tests are not the finishing point for the school, is almost entirely meaningless.
