The annual conference organised by Perth College and The TES Scotland will have as its theme this year “The Cutting Edge: education and economic success”. It will take place at the college on Friday, April 18.

The keynote speakers are George Bennett, Motorola vice-president responsible for the company’s semiconductor manufacturing plants, and Professor Alan Smithers, director of the Centre for Education and Employment Research at Brunel University.

The conference will examine the proposition that better education and training are the key to greater national prosperity. Full details and an application form will appear in next week’s TES Scotland.
