A leading Internet lawyer has warned that cyber pests risk court action. Parents may also be liable. John Salmon of Masons, a Glasgow-based international law fir, said pupils could be committing a breach of the peace while anyone placing defamatory material on websites and e-mailing it to others could be sued.
