A interactive DVD suitable for teaching dance at Higher and Intermediate levels has been published.

Choreographic, produced by Scottish youth company YDance, includes a “study centre” with information on dance styles, choreographic tools and production techniques. A “virtual theatre space” helps create short dance phrases, while a “mood board” brings together items that have inspired a particular performance or work, such as photos, quotes, colours and textures.

There is also a video library with dance footage from Scottish Ballet, among others, and a music library with 28 tracks by Quee MacArthur, the Scottish composer and bass player in the band Shooglenifty, written for companies such as YDance and Freshmess.

The resource costs pound;125 plus VAT.
