A teenager in upstate New York faces charges of reckless endangerment and assault, writes Jon Marcus. He allegedly loosened the bolts on a fire escape, then lured the school principal on to it during a dance, so that he would fall through.
The principal fell more than two storeys, fracturing his back. He has only a 50 per cent chance of walking again.
