AFTER-SCHOOL and child daycare services often have inadequate facilities and poorly training staff, according to a report by London University’s Institute of Education.
Pat Petrie, the author, and her team invetigated 60 private and state-run services in England and Northern Ireland over two years. They found some were run by unqualified staff, while others were unsafe, unhygienic and lacked outdoor play space.
