School counsellors in Wales are to receive new guidance on how to make their services accessible to deaf pupils. The new advice, written by the National Deaf Children’s Society and RNID Cymru and funded by the Assembly government, is a response to research that suggests deaf young people are 60 per cent more likely to experience poor mental health than other children.
