Deregulation won’t protect SEN

The government will dismantle the current SEN framework “after concerns that the support given to children is not properly coordinated” (“Statements scrapped in radical reform of the SEN system”, 11 May).

But when have deregulation and free market forces brought about an equitable and coordinated distribution of scarce resources to the most vulnerable members of society?
