Six Scottish schools will today discover who the winners of the inaugural PrintIT! Scotland awards are.

PrintIT! is a major industry-backed programme designed to teach young people about the world of printing and its related industries.

It provides teachers and schools with prepared lesson plans, downloadable interactive multi-media software, documents and interactive presentations.

Students are asked to create a print-based campaign for the Fairtrade Foundation which is entered into the national competition. Entries are judged by a panel of experts and prizes awarded for the best work submitted.

The skills learnt through PrintIT! are relevant to the Standard grade and Intermediate 1 and 2 Graphic Communication course. This year’s finalist schools are: Invergordon Academy; Braes High, Falkirk; Graeme High, Falkirk; Kinross High; St John’s High, Dundee; and Inverness Royal Academy.
