A school had an unexpected intruder when a pupil drove a car down a corridor.

The 17-year-old boy had taken his parents’ car for a spin and, it appears, decided to pay a visit to his school.

He crashed through the main entrance and drove 75 yards down one of the corridors before coming to a halt at the school security office.

Fortunately it was 10pm on a Friday so there were no pupils around, but the trip did cause extensive damage to the school, Shorecrest High in Washington State.

Police believe the crash was intentional. The boy was found in school grounds an hour and a half later. He was taken into custody, but was not thought to be under the influence of drink or drugs.

Surely his teacher wouldn’t have minded if he had waited until Monday before delivering his assignment?
