A new HMIE report for the Scottish Funding Council praises the routes into creative digital industries provided by colleges. Courses are usually well-supported by senior managers, most colleges work “very well” with employers and universities, while art and design departments are “genuinely creative communities”. Employers should be more involved in work placements, however, and colleges and universities need to work more closely to ease transition between HNDs and degrees.
