As young people travel about Europe, they might learn about diets, whether by trying locally grown delicacies or visiting the nearest junk food outlet. They can use that knowledge in the Europe Young Consumer Competition. Teams of primary and secondary pupils are invited to plan activities to help learn about product labels and balanced diets, and then devise ways of communicating their findings digitally. The resulting websites, videos or magazines are likely to focus on safety, quality, animal welfare and accuracy. Entries must be submitted by May 9 next year. Prizes are offered in each EU country.
