“Personal leadership coaches” such as Jim Sweetman (Letters, 4 February) may well take issue with Mike Kent’s comments on the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services but that does not entitle him to refer to Mr Kent as a “dinosaur”.
For those of us who find aspects of Government policy, the shortcomings of Ofsted and the continuing bureaucratic burden on teachers frustrating, Mr Kent’s combination of common sense and gentle humour bring a feel-good factor to Fridays that cannot be found elsewhere.
If Mr Sweetman prefers not to see such opinions in print, perhaps he should confine his reading to the GTC magazine.
